Wedding Rings

Wedding Rings
Hi All,
I got married a couple of years ago, and at the time I didn't want a wedding ring so didn't get one.
However, I am now regretting this decision and wish to get one. Does anyone know if in these situations the vicar can do anything like bless the ring or something (more for my wife really as I'm not religious)? Or is it just a case of buying the ring and that's it?
Cheers
Steve

just go and buy one!
we got married without rings as we went to NY afterwards and wanted to get them there. (having said that, we didn't get married in a church because we dont believe in angles and fairies so there was never a need for any "blessing" of rings)

you can have your ring blessed at any time. we had ours 'done' earlier this year (think it was national marriage week or something at we were at mass anyway)

Very good.
Like I say, I'm not religious, which is why I was after some info from anyone who knows - thanks for that DBW.
I just know it will mean a bit more to my wife if anything else can be done, rather than just buying a ring.
Cheers

A wedding ring? Don't do it, it just leads to arguments. Having to take it off when you're on the pull and then losing the damn thing when you're pi$$ed, it's not good at all

Could be done as part of a service or possibly privately with just the 2 of you(with any family) after a service.
I gave my hubby a choice about wearing a wedding ring - if he didn't want to wear one then no problem - he could just have "married" tattoed across his forehead instead!

I'm on my third - wedding ring, not wedding! My original was too fragile, it's replacement got too small, so for our 10th anniversary we bought each other new rings - Russian wedding rings. They are still going strong 12 years later

Great stuff, thanks very much DBW.
Neither of us are regular church goers. I suppose we're like a reasonable amount of the population who like the idea of a church wedding but aren't religious - I know that makes us a bit hypocritical before anyone starts..
I prefer the idea of just the two of us after a service to be honest, would feel like a bit of a tool stood at the front in my own getting a ring blessed!
Thanks again
