il admit, ive pondered about hair replacement treatment a few times. 23 now, and developing an annoying horseshoe. doesnt do much for you self confidence. i started receeding at 18, and wondered what sort of results on a young scalp it would have. but then i bought a subaru instead
still wonder though. seen shane warnes hair before/after

Tell you mate not to bother. Im going bald, the front of my hair line is slowly receeding. Im 35, ok it pi55es me off but hey f**k it, just do a grade 1/2 all over and leave it at that.
Hair plugs, jesus, thats going a step too far and you never get the full dense hair coverage and you look a tit. Remember Barry from Eastenders ?? he had it done and looks a **** !
Tell you mate to accept it, go to the gym, work out, do some gear, get a tan, shave his head as it works for me ! :-)

Hello
A friend of mine is flying to Greece tomorrow to have a transplant at a clinic there. I will let you know what the results are, although it takes a good few months for anything to happen.
I have thought about it, but during my research the most successful ones you have the transplant and then use Regaine (minoxidal) and/or Propecia every day to ensure that your remaining hair doesn't thin so that you require 'fill in' surgery every couple of years. So you have the quite high initial expense of the transplant (Anything from £1 - £5 per graft and you need 2000-2500) and then the continual hassle of using / buying the drugs that do have some side effects.

A bloke I used to work with had it done, and he looked like someone had stuck an iron on his head!....real ' Tom and Jerry' stuff. Anyway, now it looks as though he's got a head full of pubes
(sorry, but it does). He had been going bald since he was about 20, so nobody had seen him any differently, and quite honestly they all ripped the **** out of him. I preferred him without it.

Hahahha Steve, that made me laugh !
Bascially, tell your mate to stop being a girl, and accept that he's going bald. I would rather be bald, than have my head look like a large ******* !
If he does get it done, ask him his opinion of Elton John and Dave Furnish and who he would kiss first.

Bumrungrad is one of the best hospitals in the world, however hair-plugs are just completely naff and he might be better off discussing his issues with a psychologist and shaving it all off.
Unless you do want to look like David Gest.

I used to work for The Hospital Group and actually worked in the hair replacement department.
Avoid Advanced Hair Studio at all costs as they scam people so that you have to keep going back to them time and time again for more treatment.
There are alot of cowboys out there so be careful as it's not to be messed with when they start cutting up your head!! There are quite a few forum's regarding where best to go etc (bit sad but there you go!) so have a look on there as alot of them have had experience of some kind with all the different places you can go.
I would advise to go to a free consultation BUT beware.... I know someone I worked with kept telling his patients that he had had a transplant and was taking the tablets and he wasn't.
Last thing I will add is transplant is for people that have lost hair completely in certain areas and the tablets are for people that have started to thin.
