Default Ideas for wedding anniversary night...

...in/around Staffordshire.

Was thinking a nice hotel somewhere that has a good restaurant. Any ideas??

Who says romance is dead. Just ask a bunch of car nutters & trolls.

If you want to impress you are not that far from Oxford and Le Manoir, it cannot be beaten for impressing wife/girlfriend.

Its not cheap but you are guaranteed tons of brownie points with who ever you take.

It is for a wife, for one night, must be a decent commute distance from Stafford, so London dungeon is out.

Having not lived there some time, i don't know where's hot and where's not, so i'm struggling.

If i can't get a nice hotel with a good restaurant, then they can be seperate or maybe a spa place, so the missus can have a nice facial.

not sure about your area, but if you were in London I would have suggested one of those theatre+hotel packages. I did it couple of months ago for my gf's birthday, i liked it but she absolutely loved it!

Yeah, that kinda thing would be perfect, if closer.

I'm getting desperate for ideas really, as i leave work in an hour and then we're off.

Mytton & Mermaid Hotel @ Atcham off the A5/Telford to Shrewsbury road:

Celebrated a few of our anniversaries at the above - stunning location and great food.

Tell her what a wonderful wife she has been for all those years and ask her what she is cooking for your supper that night!

Can you not recreate your first date? Girls love that sort of romantic stuff!

Or fill the house with flowers and candles, cook a nice dinner (with lots of nice wine if you're not a great cook!) and buy a DVD of the first film you saw together.

Us girls are usually more impressed by the thought rather than a flash dinner.

Alternatively - shop here, buy her anything, and you'll get laid.
