Typhoon SPANKS Veyron!
After many, many runs up and down the runway this afternoon the race was on... The arrangement was for both the Veyron and Typhoon to start together (although the Veyron was a little ahead for onvious reasons) they would then 'race'...
The race for the Veyron was two lengths of the runway, down and back again. The typhoon had to take off to an altitude of 1000' and then fly back down the runway at low level to the finish....
They both started well, the Typhoon went verticle about a third of the length of the runway and disappeared through cloud.. the Veyron was also REALLY shifting.. it was on its way back on its return lap when you could hear the ROAR of the Typhoon....
It came in, levelled off and once past the Veyron hit the afterburners!!.... crossed the finish and went rolling off into the distance!
Superb!

Doesnt really sound like the Typhoon spanked the Veyron, sounds like the Typhoon won the arial race and Veyron won the on the track.

It's not a stupid competition from where we're sitting, in fact it's been a most entertaining day so far
They've just come out for the second run and yes, the Typhoon did spank the Bugatti!

tv licences dont pay for immigrants,
athough i agree 100 percent with what your saying
it seems a waste of tv licence for me, the whole tv licence thing needs an overhaul tbh, when you think you may only actually watch two-three hours of telly a night and maybe a third of that will be bbc programmes, and its on in the day broadcast utter tosh to a small audience, maybe its time to make bbc pay per view?

I have always thought the TV licence should be scrapped

I Think the transmitters should be switched off in the day,
all the shiftless ******* cant sit and watch it
turn it on about 6 pm, finishing around 9am for the shift workers

P.S. I also get to sit in the Typhoon on a regular basis .

We're currently down at the non car park end of the runway checking it out for the third run. We like the idea of the Typhoon coming straight over our heads on full heat

Oh yes We've been here since 10.30am and will probably be the last to leave tonight so if it's flying we'll see it

They never normally do the whole reheat thing, mainly due to the noise... so it's a very rare sight and sound from the base .....
