I'm short sighted in both my eyes (not particularly badly) but enough to warrant wearing contacts all the time..
A few of my friends have had Lasik eye surgery and they have had no problems, but I don't particularly like idea of having my lens removed and re-attached
A guy I work with had Micro surgery on his eyes recently, apparently the technique has been vastly improved over the last few years and it can also correct astigmatisms.. Also I'm told Its safer than Lasik too and takes less time to complete.
He is the only person I know who has had this procedure though so I am obviously interested in hearing from more people so I thought SN would be a good place to ask

The Microsurgery doesnt sound that bad to me, they just make tiny cuts in the iris.. How ever Lasik uses what looks like a waffer thin ham cutting machine to take off your lens :|
