![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I'm about to replace the Tumble dryer, Washing machine and Dishwasher
To replace the lot and get it to my door is going to cost £550 for relatively cheap branded but bottom end market stuff.
However, for £600 I've been offered a Miele dishwasher Miele dryer and Miele washing machine, delivered but secondhand and over 12 months old, but recent models and assured as fully working with a gentleman's warrantee.
Risks of being stung either way, but I'm tempted to go for the latter, as the alternative is the likes of Indesit, Beko (god, no), Zanussi (electrolux), and maybe the odd new-old stock Hotpoint or whirlpool if I'm lucky. All of which are troublesome from past experience, even though they will be brand new.
Which choice would you take?
And no, I'm definitely not blowing £3k on brand new Miele appliances - thats a certainty

It depends what grade the white goods are?
Some are customer returns that have had use, with a component failure.
Some have cosmetic damaged but still in packaging (not used) & others the packaging is damaged but nothing wrong with the appliance & so on.
Nothing wrong with buying graded products as the company I work for gives a 12 month manufacture warranty on all goods. As for the gentleman's warranty, does not sound so good.
I have only experience in the electrolux range (aeg, zanussi & tricity bendix)
I would go for aeg products as the build & design quality is better than the other 2.
Not sure about Miele but have heard good reports but its certainly not worth 3k even when new. For 600 that is a good deal but that also depends on the spec of the appliances, which models they are & old retail value. The gentleman's warranty puts me off completely.
I would keep looking there are a few companies on e-bay offering good deals on non used graded products.
Ticky

Cheers for the comments guys (and gal
).
He mentioned graded. Apart from they are used and in good visual condition, I'm not exactly sure what these actualy mean. Is there A-garde C-grade or it just a general term?
I meant gentleman's warrantee as it not a manufacturer's warrantee, so its offered by the company. And obviously with a manufacturer you have a lot more come back. The risk is I could be fobbed off, of course. But I do know the company through personal sources so I do have more comeback and I am probably getting a better price than Joe Public.
I don't think I would buy graded stuff from elsewhere because of this. I never use eBay anymore partly beacuse of this - well not until they, as an entity put some proper control on who advertises and buys on their site. (touchy subject - my last mail-order bride was faulty, and the seller completely misdescribed the goods
).
I have also been offered some other graded appliances - Along the lines of Zanussi and Indesit. Although they are cheaper, these brand don't really entice me much. I would rather buy them new instead.
I was going to buy all new stuff, but until these Mieles popped up, its thrown me; right brand, right price.
I suppose what I should ask is what are Miele like for spares (both availability and prices)??
...Just incase they do go wrong after 12months...I patched up my old appliances enough times, so I'm not scared of fixing stuff myself.

I would probably go Miele.
Most electric and mechanical things in white goods can be replaced quite easily as long as the timer doesn't break. If the timer goes U/S new replacements are worth more than the machine (usually) I used to fix them in another life
Personally, our washing machine was 2nd hand and cost £50 6 year ago. Does the job for a family of 3.
