I prefer bebo - it's really annoying how you can't browse profiles on facebook unless you become friends with people. There are hot chicks from my school who's pics I want to check out but you can't unless you become their mate - pretty sad to ask when you don't even know them!

Hello you too bebo is similar Bebo I only started using it as my daughter wanted to use it, so I had to register too to see how it all works, to help her out with it (she is kinda new to using computers) but I've kinda got addicted to it lol
I know the feeling, have had 3 short conversations of msn, and back to Facebook
Just call me Amy Winehouse of Facebook.
I just wish the applications didn't keep crashing

I find the pic uploader crashes explorer if the directory its looking at tries to read a non image file. As long as the selected directory contain images and only images, it works ok.

I never have any problems with facebook, the applications work fine for me, I use Firefox too.
I also think it's good that you can't just browse an account and perve at the pictures (but I only think that because my wife's fit and I don't want you lot having a look )

Got a new uber spec PC thanks I mainly use my laptop for Facebook though and that has been known to throw a wobbly on more than one occasion. My connection often drops out too but that's 'cos we're miles from the exchange up in the hills
What's this fight, am I in it?

Perhaps it's me, but I just don't get the point of Facebook, Myspace etc....
I genuinely want to see the point, but my limited understanding of the whole thing is that you can post up details about yourself and moods etc.....
Now don't get me wrong, I'm pretty open-minded, but the internet is full of millions of wierdo-nobby-nobodys (And I'll include myslef in that description! )
Why the HELL would I want to waste my time looking at "Joe-nobody"s profile and be informed that he/she is "feeling sleepy" today?
Perhaps this is a generalisation, but I'm sorry, I've got a life outside of the InterWeb.
However, like I said, I'm open to new things - can somebody show a link to a decent example of how such a service can enrich peoples' lives? Is there a good MySpace page which "champions" the whole ethos behind it?
Help me out here!!

Personally I fookin hate stuff like this crap, bebo and my spacker space are prime examples, but facebook seems to have a good mix between finding friends and having a bit of a giggle at the same time. ok, some of the apps are pointless but you just switch them off or ignore them.
eventually you get a set of good apps that are worthwhile and just have some fun.
Also the friend finding tool is quite good, as I have found people on there (and vice versa) that I havent spoken to in ages.
In my eyes, facebook is the best out of the bunch and that is coming from someone who neither has the time, nor the inclination to spend hours on these so called social networks.
