I love it how we feel it is right to say to other countries "We have nukes, but you cannot have any".
Not to mention that in the past we have clearly said that we are going to get rid of the nuclear weapons we already have....only to buy some more.
Oh, and the US signed an agreement to not develop means to intercept ICBMs to as to not spark another arms race...and then did just that.
Clearly we are qualified to determine who should, and should not have these weapons. If they don't like what we say, we clearly have the right to go over there and shoot them

Well yes, we do have a lot of unstable powers out there that are not very keen on us. Letting them have these weapons would be bad, but shooting them could be even worse.
When we went into Iraq at the start of this war there was a proportion of the people who liked us, and those who did not. Some of those people who did not like us had sufficient hate to bear arms and be called terrorists by us. After several years of shooting people, it would be probably fair to say that there are more terrorists in Iraq than before we started.
If we go and blow up parts of Iran just because they dare to follow the west and have nuclear power, I think it would be fair to say there will be more than a few countries thinking its just the west being arrogant again. That will cause us problems in the future.
I really do not want Iran with nukes, but I also do not want us to go over there and start shooting. Achieving that will be hard, as if we were without nukes, I know how lots of us would feel if the US turned round and said we could not have them when we were trying to get them.
