Gordon Brown is to blame for this situation. He knew if getting finance was easy, people would borrow more and more, creating a false and deluded feeling that the country was prospering and all was well under labour.
House prices soar, and he gets more revenue from inheritance tax and stamp duties etc...
Well, the Party is almost over. Here comes the Hangover!!

Looks like UB is trolling just like he complains about in other posters?
Maybe he should post under his other accounts?

Hmmm, who to buy shares in, Northern Rock or Alliance and Leicester
(oh and children, please behave. There is a huge difference to being funny and just annoying the hell out of anyone that wants to read a perfectly decent thread)

The economy is built on confidence ..... that is shaky.
The Housing Market is also built on the same fickle substance ..... not sure where we go from here, but it could be the correction we have been expecting.

Barrett and Persimmon are in the top 5 losers I see. Baton down the hatches boys, and thank the stars if you've recently gone in to rented.

lets hope not. We use words like "correction" when in reality it will cause serious pain for people who just wanted to have a roof over their head. Stagnation would be nice, that will all the market to adjust in a relatively pain free way.
