Getting a Wedding Ring Re-Sized...
#1
![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have lost weight around my fingers
so my platinum wedding ring needs making half a size smaller.
I took it back to where I bought it from (Bradleys Jewellers) expecting to have to pay a small fee for this to be done but they said they would do it for free
This got me thinking...
I obviously didn't complain, I spent nearly £2k with them on wedding rings...is this just good service or will it be because they will "gain" some platinum from ring, all be it a very small amount.
Any thoughts ?

Good service! Would expect one free resize within a reasonable period of time.
That much platinum is not worth much, will probably cost them more to resize than the metal is worth. Mine weighs 28g and is quite chunky, forget what cost price is of platinum now but it has risen steadily recently.
I think there is a bit of a limit to the number of times you can resize before it becomes tatty.

Id say its just from good service more than anything else. How old is the ring? Id expect something of that value to be adjusted for free, or is that me being tight?
