On moneysavingexpert.com there is an article about Getting contact lenses cheap by buying a years supply at once.

Anyone done this. I am with 'Specsavers' have to wear 'Toric' lenses and have monthly disposables with solutions at £15 per month

Any advice...thanks in advance

My optician says I have got to wear glasses for a couple months before I can get contact lenses due to infections or some tosh like that. Is she trying to wind me up? My eyesight is hardly bad and so I wont wear glasses

I did this a while ago and it was fine -- especially as Toric lenses are (or at least were) much more expensive than regular lenses. Buy Discount Toric Contact Lenses Online - UK & IE - Get Lenses

I had laser surgery 6 months ago and thankfully don't use them anymore.

No idea about prices but I make them, Not personally but work for a company that do.
I myself had an eyetest the other week- first for 15 years but have good eyesight. The thing that struck me is that as well as checking eyesight they are there to sell glasses and lenses and so will pull the wool over your eyes if you are not careful imo- maybe just me being suspicious
I'd just like to add- keep a look out for biofinity- what I work on and 'great' from the reports so far....

I get my contacts from a link off moneysaving expert. I buy the extendable wear ones in 6 months supply however I can make each pair last about 4 months.

I have Toric dailies. I don't use them everyday, just for Archery. I buy mine from Lens Catalogue - Buy Contact Lenses Online and Save! I think these were the best price around when I last got them.

I buy mine from Thailand or Hong Kong at around £100 for a years supply. (24 boxes of 30)

I am over there or on the way to NZ at least once a year so it's very convenient.

This is for CIBA Focus dailies, but roughly the same price for Acuvue, Softlens etc.

I had an eyetest the other day - first time in ages. They blow air onto your eye now, didn't like that at all.

Still 6/6+
