Default Best 1-hit wonders

Name your all time fav 1-hit wonders. Any pedant police with comments like "actually they had a number 39 in '74" will be publicly stoned.

I'll throw in The Waterboys - hole of the Moon to start. Can't name anything else they did

Heard one of their tracks the other day actually, and thought it was naff. Maybe the hole of the moon was written on drugs like so many classics!

The Waterboys werent one-hit-wonders, far from it. 'This is the Sea' was written on drugs though: Mike Scott had a heroin habit for 20 years.

If by "1" you mean" lots" then, yes.

Quite a few 90's and 90's throwbacks there

Continuing with the chart dross-pop theme....

Lets go back to 1995: Julian Cope - World Shut Your Mouth: YouTube - Julian Cope - World Shut Your Mouth

Desireless - Voyage Voyage (1988 IIRC) Even if it was French; nothing sounded like it back then.

Adamski - Killer (heard the original chart version just yesturday - much more hardcore than the later Seal version)

Although not one hit wonders: A couple of Sisters of Mercy tracks (Corrosion, Temple of love etc....this might give a clue to my profle location )

Fairground Attraction - Perfect (ok, it annoys me now as I keep hearing it)

For some reason I remember this: Spagna - call me

Someone mentioned "Zoe", which reminded me of something which sounded like the same singer being "Scarlet Fantastic - No memory"

And I can't belive nobody has menetion 99 Red balloons yet

edit...buggrehher...someone did

Last edited by Shark Man; 20 September 2007 at 10:43 AM. Reason: I should add that this casting my mind back, after youtubing them, most of it is a load of crap LOL
