a few years ago i enquired for a loan with loans.co.uk.
never went with it as it was expensive.
anyway had a letter from them beginning of this month, said that my details were among a few others which were sold to 3rd parties company. and i could also be part of an identity fraud.
they gave me a piece of mind offer with creditexpert.co.uk
which i applied for, i was supposed to get a pin number to access my info. which never came and i now forgotten,. however had an email and a txt from CE. saying that some movement has happened to my details. i am pissed off as i can't access to see what happened ..
i wanna know if someone has taken my identity to do something , what can i do about it?

I used to have something similar with Experian, possibly same company
I used to get a text message roughly once a month I think it was saying that movement had happened to my details too
Turns out it was Orange from my contract phone, on checking no details had actually been 'changed' as such, except monthly payments to Orange
In the end I could no longer log in for some reason, I couldnt email them because I couldnt log in, and every time I phoned them up I couldnt get through so i cancelled my access

I have worked in Experian & Equifax too, they have hundreds of staff just answering the phones, but I could never get through to them

Things are better now, I have spoken tocredit expert recently and they were quite helpful.
It's a bitch getting incorrect data removed though. You have to threaten them with the data protection act..
