Let's hope they actually review a car this series, and not just a Lambo, Ferrari, Pagani and a Koeniggggsegggabba along with some titting about. Always great entertainment, but loosing its way.

If you ask me, which you didn't, the whole idea of Top Gear is the titting about and driving the kind of cars i'll never be able to afford.

If you want to see a review on the latest NCAP 5 star rated family saloon, watch 5th gear!

Don't get me wrong, I like the titting about, but I preferred the balance they had 2 seasons ago. The ones which spring to mind are the S2000, Boxster and Z4 on the Isle of Man; Evo and Scooby in Scotland; R32, FRS and CTR. A blat 'round some scenery, a few specs and opinions and a lap of the track to give some insight into the ability of something 90% of petrolheads might buy rather than dream of. If it took up 10-12 minutes of the show there's still plenty of room for titting.

Yeah, some stars are coming back round as interested celebs run out Let it run this series and end it with JC, RH and JM all putting in their times, although Schuey would be a real catch to have on

I think they could still do that but change the car to a sporty number. That way there's more variation in times and it will really show who's properly faster.

Using, say, an Elise, MR2 or MX5. Basically a cheap RWD 2 seater.

Steve
I had a drive in a Suzuki Liana the other day.

I swear it was one of the old TG cars...it was battered to hell, bumpers hanging off, huge scape down the doors...what a nail.

Drove suprisingly well for a shed though, quite perky actually

I see one on a street where I go to teach reverse parking that's got a full body kit on it Someone actually paid MONEY in the deluded belief that it might actually improve it Best bit is its 13" alloys When will these people wake up and realise that a pile of dog poo is still just a pile of dog poo no matter how much Chanel No.5 you spray on it I'll try and get a pic

Thanks, but does that mean in crappy pixellated version? I can't stand watching "decent" TV on a 2x3in screen.

Do you like Rod Stewart? He's playing Estoril Casino, one night only, for their 50th birthday, on that day.

Mandolin Wind - can't knock 'ol Rod for that....nor his taste in women

Anyhoo. Brendan: You don't need to rely on google vids, all you need is a good broadband connection and the following:

Get yourself a bitorrent program such as bit tornado and download the torrents from here: FinalGear.com :: Shows :: Top Gear or search for them in mininova(.org).

All in TV quality, except the Polar special, which is available in HD
