Out eldest had an allergic reaction (chashew nuts!) and subsiquently ended up in hospital last night for a short time. Now OK and as talkative as normal.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
the Paramendic said and i quote " Your daughter is the first minor we have treated today out of 15 calls that is not alcohol related".
Now that is a worrying statistic.

But yes you are correct in that underage drinking (booz baught by friends and relatives) is a massive problem in the UK.
I've got some police stats on crim and disorder, 95% of all alcohol related crime was from teenage drinkers - nothing to do with pubs or bars etc.

She hasn't had a problem with nuts before. Horrifiying experience, puts you and your problems into perspective.
From what i see the local kids do not have a problem getting hold of booze, none look older than 14/15.

Glad to hear your daughters doing ok Paul, anaphalactic shock is not funny at all, I had it of mayonaise.
My mates an EMT and says the same thing along with alot of other things that are just horrorfing mainly due to lack of education.
He got called out for a youngish girl (about 14) bleeding from the vagina. Yup she called 999 cos she was having a period.

Strikes me that much of the problem with this and other underage crime is that there are a larger number of parents who no longer seem to want to do any parenting.
Of course it's far easier just to blame the government.

I think you have a point. itis a joint approach by parents, schools, police, government to produce descent respect young peole who contribute good things to society. It has to have commitment from the parents or it will not work and the kids can end up a problem...

That really is a telling comment from the paramedic Paul. Its of real concern hows things are descending to the depths these days.
Glad your daughter is alright now. That must have been a terrible worry at the time.

Oh and to cap off a good evening in A&E (we are only talking 8pm) the police had to restrain a pi$$ed up nutter with a knife who was wondering down the corridor between the curtained off cubicals - took 6 of them, shame they just did not shoot the ****** rather than risk getting stabbed.
Just about every cubical had a drunk in it!

But did you end up in hospital because of the drinking / associated stupid things done?
I freely admit to drinking when under age. I knew I shouldn't have been in the pub with my older friends however I looked over 18 when I was 14 and didn't get totally plastered so as not to get chucked out! Can't believe how many times I got asked for id once I got to 18......including last summer, just before my birthday when I couldn't remember whether I was 31 or 32 (yes I had been drinking wine beforehand!!!)

Of course proper checking of age and id would sort it out, wouldn't it:
