Does anyone have any experience of these :
Welcome To Modelsport UK
I am currently running a Traxxas T Maxx 3.3 nitro truck and quite frankly I've had enough. It never holds a tune, and the final nail in the coffin is it needs a new piston and liner after 2 months use...
So, are the 2 stroke petrol versions any easier to use ? Some people I've spoke to say they don't need tuning, as long as the oil / fuel mixture is ok, plus they are much more solid...
Anyone any experience ?
Thanks

Had loads of experience with Modelsport. Used to go there when it was in the back of a news agents before they moved to current premises. You are lucky to have them nearby as they are now meant to be one of the nations leaders in RC.
Not sure if Julian still works there but he was always helpful.
Get yourself an FG Ecoline or, if you can stretch to it, get a sportline.
Cracking cars and hours of fun without the hassle of arsing around with the engine. You wont regret it.

If Julian also goes by the name of Jules then yes he is still there...he is currently mending my broken T Maxx.
I am fortunate that they are only 15 mins away...they certainly hold the monopoly for model cars in Yorkshire that is for sure...
Tuning has been the major issue with my nitro cars...I am fairly mechanically minded but these things really test my patience !

Ive had many mitro cars and until I got the FG I just thought it was the way it was!!
You must be going some to get there in 15 mins!! I used to live on Kent road and couldnt do it in that time!! I used to drive passed everyday going to Shipley.
