aye, i do believe this evening that they are attempted to sail/pedal/drive/submarine the English Channel. Let's hope its a good laugh
Fwom wadio times
One of last year's TV highlights was the Top Gear where they each had to make an amphibious vehicle. It was a high watermark in the show's history of damned silly mucking about: Jeremy Clarkson fixed a big outboard motor to the back of a pick-up; Richard Hammond waterproofed (more or less) a VW camper van; and James May fixed a mast to a Triumph Herald. Then they tried to sail them. And sank. Tonight, the team revisit the task and raise the stakes: this time they have to cross the English Channel. Preview DVDs weren't available, but we confidently expect fun and foundering on the high seas. If that weren't enough temptation, Jools Holland also drops by to chat with Clarkson in the studio and see how fast he can drive the Reasonably Priced Car.
Well, just like last week, a car hardly any of us will ever own, some titting about and the now extremely boring SIARPC. Throw in some tobacco pipes and I've learnt sweet FA about cars as usual. Entertaining and very funny in places, but please get back to the format of 2+ years ago.
"Where the artistic integrity of a performance makes it appropriate
for a person who is taking part in that performance to smoke, the part of the
premises in which that person performs is not smoke-free in relation to that
person during his performance"
