Bread Sauce
Ok following on from my pizza thread, I'm now classed as even stranger as I've never had bread sauce.
Am I alone in this too.
Also I've been trying to get out of them how it tastes but am getting nowhere fast. Can someone please explain how it tastes, thank you.

You can buy it in little packets from Sainsburys which you mix with milk and heat up and serve with Chicken and Turkey etc.
It's YUMMY!

Hardly rocket science to make yourself
Basic bread sauce:-
Heat up some milk with an onion infused with cloves, some seasoning to taste. Leave to cool with onion/cloves in it (preferably overight in the fridge), remove onion, sieve out the crap, reheat sauce when required and add breadcrumbs (no crust) to desired thickness.
Easy

Its just a white sauce, great with Chicken, I had never had it before I met my wife, her family always do a roast Chicken/Turkey with it, usually with Sausages and Bacon. I like it, its pretty inoffensive really.

First, don''t buy the packet stuff, its a pale imitation of the real thing. Making bread sauce is as easy as cooking baked beans.
Grate some stale bread, I find stale crusty rolls best.
Warm some full cream milk on the stove.
When its hot, but not boiling, add the breadcrumbs.and stir.
Season with salt, pepper and a dollop of butter.
For onion sauce, chop an onion and add it to the warming milk, so it softens.
