I walked into Argos and bought one last weekend? HMV, Game and Woolworths had them as well?

I couldn't get Wii PLay however, as that was out of stock everywhere.

I have one...think I'll eBay it for £250 and then buy a new one at the usual retail price when the panic dies down again

My daughter wants one for Christmas, ordered it yesterday, with a games pack. After seeing this thread, I don't want the same problem I had when the PS2 slimline came out, think I eventually got one of those on Christmas Eve

You will be struggling if you don't get one soon.

I have just ordered one from Amazon Germany. Comes in at £180 delivered and they have plenty of stock. Only difference is they have a 2 pin plug which you can change anyway.

See below.

Its not really a good time to be a console buyer - can't get a Wii cos they're like rocking horse manure, PS3 is way overpriced with hardly any games for it, and most Xbox 360s spend more time being repaired than under people's TVs. Thank god I kept my teak Atari 2600

Have a look on ebay at WII play. Most are selling the game only as used, it's new for 34.99 in Argos with a controller, one is about to sell at £40, another with a controller is over £50!!

Save even more cash by not buying wii play Grown ups and children alike in my family find it a complete waste of money...(except cow racing)
Wii sports on the other hand... Genius

Cow racing is brilliant.

I personally find the tank game really addictive

My daughter loves duck shoot

The rest of WII Play is poor, to be honest I only bought it because of the free controller.

WII sports - agree completely.

Tiger woods 2008 is also excellent, much better then WII golf and much more difficult as you'd probably guess.

a teak atari 2600 vcs...ahhh the memories, 2 player space invaders!

Yep play is worth getting if only for the bundled second controller. As above I think tanks is awesome especially if you play with the controller and the nunchuk.

We got ours from amazon.de ordered on Mon delivered on Weds, and that was during the postal strike

When it arrived it wouldn't load the CD, so I rang up Nintendo customer services, who were extremely good about it. I returned the player to them foc and it came back within a week, all fine and dandy.

The cynic in me wonders if supplies have been cut back to generate demand for Christmas. The 8th Dec batch will just arrive in time
