UGG boots..
I know you're probably the wrong crowd to ask seen as the majority of you on here are men but I'm sure a lot of you have been asked to buy these boots as gifts so thought it might be worth a try !! I got some in New York last year at a snip of the price of what they are over here (£190 here and £100 in America ), so anyone know of any sites that are selling real ones at a good price!? I don't mind importing them from america just not sure where to look!
Cheers

Aren't these now terribly unfashionable and the preserve of wannabe 'WAGs' and the type of people who eat at Harvesters and live in poor quality new build estate houses?
The new burberry and have been for a while. Mark my words give it a few months and you'd be embarrassed to be seen in them (in fact you should have been already for months now)

Ugg boots, they're those furry things like grandma used to wear aren't they ? Why don't you just get a pull along tartan shopping trolley and complete the whole blue-rinse look ?

They started off in surfing circles (where they have a purpose) but have gone mainstream.
Too shapless and overpriced I reckon.
Plenty of warm boots around that look nicer and cost a lot less.

FAQ on Australian Ugg Boot website.....
Do you sell the "UGG Australia" sheepskin boots?
We get this question regularly and the answer is NO! We sell our own products, manufactured here in Melbourne, Australia by Binder Productions Pty Ltd. We are not affiliated to the US company that own the UGG Australia brand - called Deckers. The word Ug,Ugh,Ugg has been associated with a style (not brand)of footwear for many years in Australia so you will find many people advertising ug,ugg or ugh boots. The word ugg is found in the Macquarie Dictionary. Most of the UGG AustraliaTM production occurs in China and not in Australia.

Would you wear these?
Just as comfy but not worn by flaky scabs in the public eye.
I'm detecting a strong possibility that you might also have some 'Crocs' as worn by mongos throughout the UK.
Dare I ask, do you ever go out in public in your pyjamas or is that something you'll leave till 18months down the line?

Just to ask the SN members who clearly know what fashion is all about.
What DO stylish women wear these days then?
Crocs may be "in" but they are worn in most hospitals around the country by doctors. And I'm sure a doctor qualifies as "decent and proper" in the eyes of the fascist SN population who like to stamp their opinions of anything from immigration to footwear.
Of course I'm slightly sad that yet another "underground" surf product has gone mainstream but then it does happen.

That's nice, however I don't believe you are wearing them merely because of their comfort qualities. I don't believe you'd ever even have heard of them if some skanky bitch featured in Heat magazine hadn't made them famous.

I don't really care what you think to be honest, I wear them because I like them, I don't care who else is wearing them and I don't have a pair of crocs and yes I sometimes nip to the petrol station in my pj's so what!? I don't do those things because some celeb is doing it, I'm not really interested in the wags or what the celebs are doing, I never really took much notice to the Ugg's until I tried a pair on in New York and loved them! I didn't ask for your opinion and if you haven't got anything decent to say don't say anything!!
cheers!
cheers!
This is a discussion forum, if you don't like people's comments you could always try ignoring them. Doesn't change the fact that there are a fair few of us out there who think the same however..........
