We've put a "help" notice on the door, written in blood of course.

Then when a ****** knocks on the door we turn all the out side lights off and make a bang on the door, and let out a scream or a help me.

...although not what we intended, I think we have stopped one mum from sleeping well tonight.

Can't stand the whole thing personally. I'm safely tucked away in a back bedroom right now that's not visible from the street - the rest of the house is strictly lights off and nobody's home. I'd have 'b*gger off' painted in blood on the front door if I thought it would do any good.

I guess if some people like this (very recent, American) tradition then that's fair enough, but I wish there were some recognised way to opt out. A sign that means 'knock on this door and YOU will get pelted with eggs and a firework shoved somewhere unexpected', perhaps, just to redress the balance.

But, alas, the best thing I can say for ASBO night is that it's a good excuse to spend the evening down the pub. Unless anyone has any better ideas...?

I got a bunch of Fivers out the bank this morning - one £5 per group - I'm sure the same kids come around again with a different mask on!!

About 20 visits so far - this could be a touch costly!! Never mind, it's once a year - bless 'em

I used to answer the door with my 8 foot Boa draped over my shoulders. That soon got rid of any trick or treaters

Question

me and the mrs popped to morrisons earlier.

i thought might as well buy sweets for the chavs round my area, otherwise my car will end up egged to death tonight.

camera on, knife by the p.c.

just kept grabbing packets of sweets. got to the checkout and the cashier was not impressed.

£22.15 on sweets. i think he needs a wrist support (eaten about £5 worth already - had two callers)

Fancy a swap?

I mean, does anyone actually enjoy standing at the door, letting all the heat out of the house and freezing their nuts off, while a group of teenagers murders the first five lines of a carol before expecting money?

OK, I know, I'm a grumpy b*stard - but I earn my money and don't like being expected to give it away. Why should I without a good reason?

Cool

I believe, the true significance of Halloween, is the fancy dress party's, where girls can dress up in costumes, pretend they are something the're not, and have a the perfect excuse to act like total wh*res! . . .Good on them!!!

. . .Pumpkins and the rest of thst cr@p is just a biproduct . . .

Cheers!!!

Sweets only here.

Oh and I detest Pumpkin Pie - must be one of the most boring tastes on the planet - close to those veggies Scots have on Burns nights

We cleared the loft out at the weekend. There's kids walking round our street now wondering what they're going to do with offcuts of carpet and leftover loft insulation
