Default Switching energy supplier

Bit of a wierd one.

Two weeks ago I switched energy supplier. I got my final bill through etc. and all seemed fine. Except for the fact that my energy consuption (electric not gas) has doubled since switching.

As we've moved in to anew house and it was much larger than either of us had before I made a note of electric reading on moving in and to keep on top things took a reading every 2 weeks or so. It's been pretty consistant useage since April about 50-60 KWH per week. As a double check each day I was using about 8 KWh (I have to walk past the meter on my way out), now my daily useage is about 11-12 KWh except for the week which we changed wher we somehow used 120KHw!!

I kniw winter is here and lights are on longer etc. but we have energy effecient bulds and we are both good at not leaving things on, we have gas for the heating so I'm a bit stumped the only thing different is a new supplier.

Anyone else had a similar thing?

I'm going to contact the supplier as I'm worried they are somehow over supplying??
