finding a 'sold' house price?
I'm dead dead nosy!!
I've a 'friend' who moved into a house mid august 2007,
I've looked on HOUSE PRICE web sites and his house isn't listed anywhere, even though houses up to 31st August show up.
could there be a reason why his hasn't been put on these SOLD house price sites?
like he's not bought t and renting it?? lol
or the registration papers haven't been sent to Land registry yet!
Phil

Find properties to buy, homes to rent, overseas houses and new homes on rightmove.co.uk
that should tell you, make sure you tick the box for sold properties aswell.
one of my customers has sold their house this week for £650,000 we think they're in debt and split so they had to sell up as theres no chain

Mine doesn't show up and we've been here 2 years. Neither do a few that have sold in the past year

Some don't show - not sure how but you can have it so it doesn't show on any site - if you pay the government though you can get a copy of the land registry which shows the price paid.

Also they're not 100% reliable either seeing as it doesn't take into account the ''stamp duty trick''
Houses 'sold' for £125/250/500k dont tell the whole truth as most of the time they may have sold for significantly more.
Ie give you £249,999 for the house and £30k for your white goods Saves you £5000+ in stamp duty fees. House looks like its sold for £249999 when its in fact been sold for £280k

land registry do make mistakes from time to time. you could try some of the other links posted here or if you don't mind spending a few quid (should be about £7 i think), you can find a copy of his legal title here - Land Register Online ...(and you can see who his mortgage is with, plus restrictive covenants, rights etc etc)
...he may not thank you for it though!!
