I don't think it matters if it was unprovoked or not. I agree this sort of behaviour is unacceptable.

Her whole X-Factor "journey" has been based on the fact that she is such a sweet kid and because she had heart surgery a couple of years ago and nearly died, she is some sort of china doll. This kind of disproves that, doesn't it?

To be fair I don't care whether she is on X Factor on not, seeing I never watch the show.

However, I also always take an isolated video recording with a pinch of salt, because we have no idea of the circumstances that led to the event.

If she did it as an unprovoked attack, then yeah, she an ****. But we don;t know that for fact.

I'm sorry but I find X Factor intolerable at any level.

The fact that one of the contestants beat up some other kid just shows how little of my time these people really deserve.

So she has to go.

I NEVER got into any fights when I was younger. I got offered out over a boy who fancied me more, but I talked my way out of it. I was never involved in any sort of violence - apart from against my sister, and that was at home, not at school

You should be able to control your anger.

Well, seeing as the past winners have had good voices, I would not agree with your statement!

I was always fighting when I was at school I wasnt a hard knock or anything, I just didnt know when to back down, won a few, lost a few etc...
I will go to my boss now and ask to be sacked.

Seriously the waife she is scrapping with, gets up and goes for her - it's a 2 way fight. If it had been "nappy slapping" she would have run away from the inflatable singer at the first chance...

So if you're attcked on the street and you get put down, and you then get up and defend yourself it's a 2 way fight?
Better to be a victim and get kicked to death eh?

LOL! She was having her hair pulled She wasnt getting kicked to death . I wasn't generalising in my post. I was commenting on the video .
Like I say - in the video it is a 2 way fight, it is NOT nappy slapping. Obviously inflatable singing appendix pop bird starts it but the other girl has the chance to do one but wades in for more...

From the X Factor website

Emily chose to withdraw from the competition following stories which have appeared in the tabloids over the last couple of days. She is pictured, on mobile phone footage and video stills, allegedly carrying out so-called happy-slapping attacks.

In one video, Emily, still in her school uniform, is seen fighting with a girl. In another, her group of friends is seen laughing and threatening another teenager. One of her friends is holding what could have been a weapon.

Although the teens could have just been messing about, the video has received much attention due to the current spate of knife crime among young people.

Emily, from North London, was just fourteen when she auditioned and is the youngest contestant ever to have made The X Factor finals. She was very proud to be representing her age group in the competition.

Official statements

Speaking as it became clear Emily could not continue, a show spokeswoman said: "In response to the stories in the papers this week regarding Emily Nakanda we have conducted our own investigations into the matter and we can confirm that she has chosen to withdraw herself from the competition with immediate effect."

Speaking on behalf of Emily, Louis Friberg, Emily's Mother said, "As a family we are heartbroken and are very disappointed with Emily's behaviour, we feel that there is no choice but to withdraw Emily from the competition. Emily and all the family sincerely apologise to both Anna, her school and all the fans that have supported Emily. Emily regrets her actions but there is no way, as a family, we can excuse her behaviour. Emily is very sorry to have let the show, Sharon and the viewers down."

Sharon Osbourne, Emily's mentor on the show said today: "I am deeply saddened by this whole situation."
Now i bet it was more a case of either you quit or we order you from the show, anyway same outcome the brutal thug is gone.

'kin ell such an outcry over a teenage fight I am absolutely gobsmacked...
It happens every day in every school and park across the world. That doesnt make it right, but it really is no big deal.
As school kids, did not one of you who condem stand and watch a good old playground scrap? Did you never kick fork out of someone for calling you a name? No? Fair enough then...
This "fight" or "hairpulling girly wrestle" didnt even register on the brutal scale and I can bet that every other entrant in the competition has had a fight at some point or other but were just lucky it wasnt filmed by a waster with a phone...
I can understand her having to leave the show now but when you see the horror of society today - shootings, stabbings and the likes, a teenage scrap is hardly news...
