I never looked before, but today I was using sat nav and when I approached an LED sign which flashes to remind you of the speed limit, if you're speeding - "30mph slow down". So, I looked at my GPS speed and it was 29mph

So, why do they put them up if they try to slow you down if you are already below the speed limit. I checked two others and it was the same 28mph and 29mph (again via GPS) and they still trigger. Kinda smells to me.

Non calibrated ..just there to embarrass you but gotta be better than a Speed Camera

There are one of them local to me, it shows the speed you are doing and lights up saying thank you if you are below the limit and slow down if you are above it, although it causes a bigger problem than it solves as the Neds race past it to see who can reach the highest speed

I think they are very good for getting drivers to observe the speed limit., and much cheaper!

They don't work though imo as with speed cameras people slow down for them then just speed up again so possibly causing problems with the occasional person not paying attention to what's in front of them.
