Question Did You Feel Cheated By Top Gear Tonight?

The whole program relating to a trip across Africa?

30 minutes would have been ok - but the whole hour?

Disappointed although it was entertaining

£1500 seemed a lot of money for any of those sheds. 2nd hand cars must be a lot cheaper in the UK.

What with Top Gear, and then Long Way Down, it's been more like a travel channel tonight....

But still VERY GOOD!!!!!

The drowing 'Oliver' moment made me laugh... and Hamster reckons he knows about offroading......

Hampster did do it correctly, he looked for an acutal fording point. Sadly his chosen a fording point deeper than his car! Thats why you should walk it first.

I don't feel cheated at all.. it was a SPECIAL.

Extremely entertaining - 3 mates having a laugh and making GREAT tv. Plus some stunning pictures.

I only wish it had been in HD.

Sunset on that Island in the salt flats was stunning.

There were too many contrived incidents presented as happenstance for my liking e.g. cars dying coming back to life. Still good entertainment though

Yes that seems to be a running coincidence with their cars!

Yep if he has any off road experience the 1st rule is always check the depth of the water.

Wouldn't have made good TV though would it.

Cheers

I found it a bit dull and more contrived than ever.

A full hour was way too long.

If he had done it right, he would have waterproofed the vehicle, then walked it, and THEN driven it, once he was sure he could make it, like i do most weekends in my offroader.......

Yep even more so.

If it's too deep your going to end up in the water anyway and perhaps out in the bush without a vehicle or your kit.

Nahh, Lee.. I was questioning if it was RON that was in Afica doing offroading..

just as an aside,if things went smoothly for the three misfits, then it wouldn't be condusive to good televisual entertainment would it.. therefore rendering one of the most popular programmes on the beeb worthless.
I know what I'd rather be watching after being at work all day on a sunday, coming home, filing my belly to overfull and chilling TFO on the sofa..and it wouldnt be a completely factual programme on the pro's and con's of a Wankel *snigger* rotary engine

It's entertainment and I find it a bit of light hearted fun, with cars thrown in.

If people are so sick of it, I don't understand why they continue to bother watching it.
