Default Guitar players of Scooby Net stand up

I've only just started playing realy (jan of this year) i'm totaly hooked and spend any free time i have in my box room which i've converted into my guitar room.
I know there are quite alot of people on here that play but wondered just how many and also what guitar's you have.

My 2 (left)Vintage v400 dred was my first guitar and for £95 the sound is realy nice!
(right)Epiephone Les Paul standard find it realy easy to play and again for the price has a fantastic sound.

My Amp
Peavey 112 Bandit 85watt more that load enough for what i need at the moment sounds realy crisp with no distortion on but sounds awsome with it on and the boost all the way to the right

I just recently got myself a Yamaha APX5A (semi-acoustic). Been playing the cello for many years, but fancied having a go at something different. I can play the whole intro of "Stairway to Heaven" now

I've a red Gibson SG Special (Pete Townshend wannabe ) and a Crafter acoustic (cheap but nice). I also have a Crafter GTX65 amp but it rarely gets plugged in as it's too damn loud! Not got any pictures to hand at the moment though.

I bought my daughter a Fender Precision Bass Guitar and Amplifier from someone last year ....... for £20 the lot.

He had it as a kid with his brother, given to them by their Uncle who used to play it in a band in the 1950's when it was new.

It had spent decades in the loft and he was moving house and saw my WANTED BASS GUITAR advert and responded.

I think it was cheap because I had to fix the Amplifier, it was crackling and stuff - but its great now Guitar plays remarkably well, after I put some strings on it!

What about "people who own guitars but can't string any notes together"? I've had a Yamaha Pacifica for 8 years and can't play a thing

I have a few guitars

I posted pics up on another guitar thread a while back, ive since sold one or two of them though

My pride and joy is my Yamaha AXP3 Acoustic, fantastic guitar that plays really really well, and also my Yamaha AXP12A 12 string, which plays just as easy and as well as my 6 string

I have a nice 30W Acoustic Amp too, and I have a few electrics, mainly strat ones, and a Rickenbacker copy that has all rickenbacker bits on it pups, controls etc, and a Vox AD30VT Valvetronix amp

Mine has expanded since last time

Guitars:

Squier Strat (Korean, bashed up, daily hack)
ESP LTD EC-2005 (Les Paul style)
ESP LTD MH400NT (Strat style)
Edwards E-EX-125E (personally imported Explorer style from Japan and it's lovely )

Gear:

Mesa/Boogie DC-3 Combo
Marshall JMP-1 Preamp (thinking of selling this)
TC Electronics TC1140 Parametric EQ
Behringer patch panel
Zoom GFX-8 (relegated to glorified guitar tuner!)

Seriously thinking about getting a Randall MTS head and building/buying a cab to go with it. Not a great player, but love fiddling around with the stuff. Wish I had the motivation to learn properly....

Just wondering mate. Did you find it quite easy to pick up the guitar after playing the cello. i know is very dif to play but are the foundations not the same?

Aye, here it is

I used to also have a Squire Strat, it was a good guitar but I never used it so I sold it to some young lad for £50 with an amp to get him into playing.

I've also a Boss Micro BR that I use for recording, that's quite cool too. I normally just plug the SG into this and have my headphones on when i'm playing. LOADS of digital effects on that!

Here are mine. Not really top notch stuff although the Samick is an absolute beauty both to play and to look at.

Some nice guitars here. I have;

Electric: Gibson SG and a Sunburst Strat.

Acoustic: Takamine and Yamaha.

I'll try and post pics. I find the SG good allrounder (use a Peavey Valveking). I've had the Takamine for 10 years and it has been a real workhorse gig machine, still sounds bright.

Used to play semi-pro for a few years, and restore vintage guitars in my spare time so have had loads and built up quite a collection over the years. Have got rid of quite a few just due to lack of space ( loads are still up in the attic ! ) and kept mostly my favourite ones or rarer stuff, but from the top of my head ( some of these are still projects so awaiting restoration or repair ) :

1980's Les Paul quilt top custom shop - this was one of the first handmade guitars from the Gibson custom shop when they just used to make them on request for artists and dealers.

1960 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty 3 pickup - been messed around with loads over the years so loads of non original parts, but still awesome.

1990's Les Paul Custom - one black, one white.

1990's Les Paul Standards, one black, one goldtop.

1959 Gibson ES225TDC semi accoustic

1947 ES125 semi accoustic

2003 Gibson EC10 accoustic

In the sad glam metal collection - BC Rich Gunslinger Custom Shop, Kramer Baretta, Jackson soloist, Kramer Stagemaster, Gibson U2 superstrat.

Plus a Kittyhawk valve preamp, Digitech mult effect and various other amp bits and bobs.

Just realised that still looks like a lot of guitars for a thinned out collection, but not quite as bad as when I had 11 Les Pauls at one point !
