If you want an iphone, go for one - they'll be out soon enough.
You could always wait for the first Google OS phone...
It's official: Google announces open-source mobile phone OS, Android

It's a hell of a thing. Knocks spots off an iPhone. Others to look at are the Nokia N81 and the HTC Touch.
The advantage of working just off Oxford Street means you can wander out at lunchtime and check all these things out.

The HTC is too much a hybrid to be any good.
Any touch screen WM5 phone with an SPB Media skin is as good as or better than a Touch. The problem is that it basically has a touchscreen skin with big buttons, but as soon as you go into an app you really need a little stick thing.

I got to admit it sure got my attention when I saw it. Looking on GSMArena.com - GSM reviews, opinions, votes, manuals, ringtones and more... it got some pretty good reviews and specs up well.
Only thing that put me off was brand and their past history with reliability. The Chocolate for example.
Sky news allowed LG to showcase one of their phones last night during an iPhone piece, dont think it was the viewety but was a good phone also.

Ah.. Just got directed to this thread.
I just renewed with O2 and will be receiving one of these gratis in a day or two. Went for it over the SE K850i.
Can I get a large capacity memory card and load a few movies on to it a la psp/ipod I wonder..?
Oh, and any ideas what comes in the box, do I get earphones and a stylus with it..?
Cheers,
Nige.

Could I fit an entire dvd on a 2gb card? And what software would I need to convert the dvd from being a disc in my drive to a little file that I can drag and drop onto the Viewty..?
Apologies for the lack of tech savvie on my part..!!

Blimey. Fair play to o2. It arrived this morning and am currently getting used to it. Makes my K810i seem like it's from the dark ages..!!
