snow fall........anyone else got some ?
The first snow fall of the winter has arrived
anyone else got a covering of the white stuff, still falling pretty thick here in north sheffield/pennine edge
i do think its time to remove the yoko parada's and replace with something a little more forgiving in the snow!

I thought that Id better look out of the window before telling you trhat it wasnt snowing in SW Sheffield... Its not deep but it fine and dry-looking, so it might last.

Yup plenty in worchestershire. No gritters yet either!
Should be fun when the droves of idiot desk drivers try and get to work if it sticks around for tomorrow
(mini rant: why in the past 10 years has the majority of the nation has suddenly forgot how to correctly drive a car in the snow/ice? )

ERRRR probably cuz they dont show u how to drive in bad weather on your test or learning to drive....and *** to think of it..it hasnt really snowed this early in the year for last ten years or has it..i dont think its snowed that much in the last ten years...or am i just having a stupid moment..hehe
They never showed me neither and I have never had an issue, be it a RWD car, FWD or an extremely unpredictable 4wd Impreza ...but in the 11 years of my driving career, the standard has dropped severly.
My first "proper snow" was about January 11 years ago...2months after passing my test. Although I had some icey road moments before....I took to it like a duck to water. I think the only advice given to me was to avoid using 1st gear and give loads of distance to stop. The rest I worked out for myself

Because they think that if they have abs and traction control they can drive anywhere at any speed and be safe. The previous generation who drove stuff that didn't have all the electronic gizmos and have half a brain think a bit more in bad conditions. I hope. and as for us petrolheads, well, we just know....

Regarding the driving issues, I've got a *little* more security due having a very big tow bar on the back - so people behind have to be quite careful!!
But yes, we had some snow last night (Herefordshire), and most had turned to rain/slush by this morning. The big problem we had was felled trees.....
