Default Are Wiis really hard to get?

I am just a little curious as to what all the Wii madness is about I managed to obtain one from argos as a resonable price but it seems people are going bloody bonkers and paying through the nose for them why?

Availability is short granted but they are not impossible to find, is it Christmas fever?

I assume they are still VERY difficult to get.
I was in Moscow last weekend and there were hundreds in one big computer store. I had a request from friends for these and hand caried 2 back to the UK.

i dont get it..... they have been around ALL year! and its got the graphics of a ZX Spectrum!

Limit supply and make people think its worth it seems to be the VERY clever plan.

err spectrum-i think not-more commodore 64 perhaps.
the difference being that its the first really interactive console and thats made it the fastest selling console ever which i think has caught out nintendo hence the limited supplies/inflated price .
Have you actually tried one or do you not use games consoles at all?

I'm driving back to the UK next week and hope to bring 3 to sell (week before Christmas!) at around the £250 mark which should give me enough profit (cost £180 each here and loads in stock) to pay for my 3 day traveling costs through Spain and France.

If you get up early enough Amazon usually have them every day but they are limited to a few a day.

Game had them in a bundle of 5 games at £339. You can however return bundled games at Game (in their t&c) which then reduces the cost of the Wii to a more sensible value.

We are spending christmas with family who have bought a Wii for their son so at least we will get to play christmas day.

I would suggest by your comment you have either not seen a ZX spectrum or a Wii

I assumed a Wii was essentially a repackaged Gamecube with a novelty controller. However, although its not a true "Next Gen" console like 360 or PS3 its no slouch. Its probably closer to Xbox1 which may still sound a bit naff these days but the Xbox1 "tech spec" wise wiped the floor with the PS2.

To be fair its an upgraded Gamecube with a "Killer" unique control mech. Had it been released with a pad only it would have died on its ****.

I think the GameStation bundle might be a good idea.

If you read thier T&Cs (the same as Game T&Cs) you can return items within the bundle. The bundle discount is lost but at least you can get a refund on the games they made you buy in order to shift the crap games.

I recommend getting up at 6am and checking Amazon website. They have a few in stock every day by the looks but they go in minutes.

As this is Britain, we are never happy unless bragging how much we payed for everything. Why pay £200 from Argos (Or whatever they are) when you can get one on Ebay for £500.
