I have 3 or 4 different Emails, claiming to be banks, informing me that someone has tried to get into my online account, and that I should click a link at the bottom of the Email.
The thing is, I do have an account with 2 of them, but the third is NatWest, and I don't even have an account with them.
any ideas ?
And I haven't clicked the links either

DEAR NATWEST CUSTOMER,
A number of customers of other financial institutions have recently been targeted with deceptive emails linking to falsified bank websites.
These customers have then entered their confidential "security" information believing the site belongs to a real financial institution.
In order to protect your account against this deception, please ensure that you upgrade your account to our new SSL server software for your maximum protection against any fraudulent activity to your account.
please do this by clicking these link below:
http://www.natwest.co.uk/signin/secure/index.htm <http://www.khome.ca/bbs/icon/private_icon/default.php>
Please note that your account may take up to two business days to upgrade and updated to the SSL server software.
Thank you for your kindle co-operation.

the nationwide links are correct, as they are just logos, lifted from their sites.
its the "click on this" bit of the email thats dodgy.

forward the emails to your bank. But ensure that you ring the bank and get the email address of their fraud dept.

Bottom line is never give your enitre password to any Bank/B-Soc. They would never ask for such.
These e-mails have been doing the rounds for years now. If your bank wants you badly they will soon send you a letter sharpish

Take a look at the email and in particular the last URL. You can see it suspect as it's not a Nationwide address. If you are worried that the bank has locked you out or is about to (unless you login), instead of clicking a random link, open your browser yourself and manually type in your bank's address and then select Internet Banking or Login directly from the web site, and log in that way.
Most of the (UK) bank's have a messages section now, attached to your internet account, so if there was anything that might need actioning, I'd guess they wouldput it here.
