The tunnel is never cheaper. A day return maybe similar, but a stay of longer will never be cheaper on the tunnel.

I think I've done 7 crossing this year, and not found them to be cheaper yet. Although I have used them twice as I had more cash when I was booking

Aye, i can't get a flight for under £250 each to bloody france/geneva.

So i thought sod it, i'll take the vRS. Will be cheaper.

The ferry was coming out at £178. I thought that was still quite a bit. When i used to do the occasional booze-cruise, it was about £50. OK, 10+ years ago

Nice one!

They seem to be about £80 cheaper.

Around £100 return.

Used them last year and they were excellent, only a 50 minute crossing too!

1) The boat moves around a lot during choppy conditions....and I mean a lot.

2) If it's really bad it doesn't operate.

can't fault speedferries in the slightest, they are doing (or where until recently) a buy one get one free offer.

Another vote for Norfolk line, all new fleet and nice big spaces to park cars in (less likely to get door dings!)

£19 each way
