Christmas cards to colleagues at work ... !
Just been observing the strange behaviour of a number of my colleagues over the build up to Christmas…..
They all keep a box of blank Christmas cards in readiness should someone give them a card. Just so they can be seen to have given a card to someone who has sent (handed) them one
They then delve into their little box, quickly write a card and stick it on the persons desk (normally no more than about 10 feet away from them). Bearing in mind that normally it’s a colleague who they have spent the preceding year moaning about…..
What a waste of paper etc
Si (embracing the festive season in full)

And don't you hate it when you open the envelope, and it's still wet where it's been licked!

Why not send them an email e-card instead? then you can say you're giving the money saved to poor African orphans , whereas in truth you can use the cash rent Transformers from Blockbuster, pick up a pizza and get a few tins in....

Surely its just a way to send best wishes to family and friends and to people you dont see much for various reasons. Can't see anything wrong with it as long as you are prepared to go to the trouble once a year.

We don't send cards at the office, the money that we would have spent goes in a pot and it goes to the local childrens hospice... Makes you feel all warm inside..

I try not to do any cards for anyone, although I have recieved a stern talking to from SWMBO saying if I don't get her one I am for it...maybe I will....try my luck....
Christmas for me is too comercialised now, it is supposed to be a magical day for young children who still believe, maybe I am just a misery but hey ho.

I think the "guiding" force in Christmas Cards is the X Chromosome. Its nearly always our fairer friends that initiate the cards.
