Cant open my pictures..Help!

Cant open my pictures..Help!
I am not that good with computers but can anyone help?
I saved all of my pictures on my computer and have always opened them using windows picture and fax viewer. Seems they are saved to that format.
I have obviously messed with something and now I cant open them as it wants to use power point to view them.
Does anyone know what I have to do or what I did to change it back?
And I promise I wont do it again..

Right click on one of the pictures in explorer
Select "Open with" from the menu
and then "choose program" from the bottom
Select the program you want from the list
tick the box saying "Always use the selected program...."
