In my opinion this is the best 32 inch LCD on the market, ive just sold one today to make way for a 42 inch plasma which will fill my room better. Its a stunning picture on the TX32LXD70.

PANASONIC TX32LXD70 at Richer Sounds - HI-FI Separates, Home Cinema, Speakers, MP3 DVD Portables, Plasma LCD, etc.

This is its big brother, the only difference is that the 700 has better internal speakers as both tv`s are the same. Personally i would buy the LXD70 and buy a surround sound system to go with it.

depends what you are going to use it for, watch hi definition stuff? Do high def gaming alot? have sky and watch it loads - favourite channels???

some q's may sound a little daft, but if you do a lot of gaming, and/or watch a fair amount of say, SKY1, then plasma may not be the best set for you as you'll run the strong risk of somethong called screen burn. This is the effect of a 'gost' of an image - usually a logo or a game sceen element that has been displayed in the sam e place on the screen for a long time, this literally burns an image into the screen....
LCD's do not suffer from this, but don't have the same contrast ratio (difference between black and white essentially) so some don't have deep black tones or have darker tones that mush into each other making it hard to distingish detail in darker scenes. particularly true at the budget end.
LCD's also suffer from blurring of fast moving images - particularly at the budget end of things again. The only real way to get an LCD - unfortunatley is to get a rather expensive one say the v w or x series Sony Bravia. The W and X series being widely agreed as the very best LCD pictures available.

With your "1080" question, I assume you are running a high definition source, XBox or PS3 perhaps, then consider a tv that supports 1080p/24.
the 24 denotes 24 frames per second and is the 'native' frame rate that 'cinema' is shot in. The uk stuff generally operates at 25 f.p.s. and therefore runs around 4% faster than the native frame rate.

I'm currently wrestling with the tv choice but plasma doesn't fearture in any of my thoughts. I am probably going down the road of the 42 or 46 inch x3500 series bravia - just will wait until it is a little more affordable as it really is the current holy grail of LCD.

Currys currently have a nice 40"Samsung on offer at 699 I think, 1080p, but not sure if it's 24 frame/second support.... I think it is. Actually a good telly but has issues regarding colour pallette - some people just don't like the skin tones - they look wrong imho. but still a worthy consideration

hope this helps..... ??

What he said

I've got one of these downstairs and the 26" version upstairs, both are which have simply stunning picture quality. Currently looking at a 3rd Viera for the spare room. (sad, but they really are that good)
