Was watching "Street Wars" the other night, when they showed a car jacking in South Africa. Happened at gun point, and even when the 2 black guys got the car, one of them still proceeded to take a shot at the fleeing victim. Got the car yet still tried to kill him.

Heard a story on BBC news where a woman tried to flee the burning church out a window with her 3 yr old child in her arms. One of the ar*sholes on the outside grabbed the child out her hands and threw the kid back in to the church straight into the inferno which killed him/her. Nothing can justify that, how can people do that and live with it.

The violence in Ireland has prett much stopped, peace plan and multilateral disaramanet and the demobilisation of armed forces put in place and the two sides trying to put their pasts and differences aside for the betterment of thier people. A single govenment in place, etc.

Now then, what would your suggestions be for kenya or would you just prefer to point out problems eslewhere - it is your way of saying "well you are not perfect so you cannot talk or critisize", do tell

My suggested solution for Africa as a whole is re-colonisation, would you believe! A 'benevolent dictator' is the best form of government and certainly what is needed to stop the continent dragging itself back into the stone age.

Yup although a lot of infrastructre put in place in the former African colonies has been torn up or destroyed. Re building the empire in Africa is the best place to start as they have no nukes

In Ethiopia in 2005 several hundred opposition supporters were killed and many opposition party members were imprisoned, to keep the power hungry president in power. Didn't hear about that in the media did we?

There will always be bitter divisons between tribes in Africa due to the utmost severe inequalities and poverty suffered by 99% of the population. many of the resources the African countries have are raped by western countries like the UK and the USA. Gold, diamonds, oil, coal, all extracted by large multinationals while little "wealth" is returned to the people who really need it.

I suggest anyone bitching and moaning about how sh*tty the UK is spend a few weeks in any Afican country to gain some perspective on reality.

Religeon and ignorance are the biggest killers.

Who's fault is it that the wealth of the continent is not returned to the people that really need it? Your suggestion that western countries are raping the wealth of Africa is flawed. By using the word rape you are implying that western nations are forcing African nations leaders against their will using violence etc to get their away. The guys in charge where western companies (increasingly Chinese BTW) are mining are obviously in cahoots with whatever leaders are in Africa. In essence fellow Africans are practicing genocide to line their own pockets with the continent's wealth. The fact that Western governments pay their way for such resources and perhaps perpetuate this arrangement is possibly morally bad view in some quarters, but it certainly is not rape.

I also go along with you point about we in the UK should go along and see how bad it is over there, maybe stay over there and overturn wholescale corruption and Lord of The Flies style governments.

If there was no demand for South African diamonds or Nigerian oil etc, where locals are shot on sight if they go near the beaches or pipelines, then there would not be a problem. Yes I agree, the ****** are in Africa too, build a 2km road to nowhere in Addis Ababa and take as much coal, or whatever, as they like. Yes, corrupt Govn'ts and officials allow this to happen, but it's the demands from nations like the UK, USA and China (Agreed) which is the main driver behind the troubles which leads to the abject poverty these people endure.
