Help Me Get My Plane Back

Help Me Get My Plane Back
On Sunday afternoon I went out flying my R/C Helicopter and had a great time.
I took my R/C Plane to the field too ..... but, by now it was 4:15pm and dusk.
Anyway, being the wally I am, I got it ready and started flying it ... the light was failing fast. Just one more go .......... BANG!!!
Straight into the top of a tree
It is about 30 foot up in the top of the tree - the canopy has opened (the pilot clearly decided to jump!!!!) - and the battery has come out and the lead is wrapped around a twig.
That's ok, I thought, the wind will blow it out overnight Sunday ........ went there at midnight with torch expecting it to be on the floor - NO, still in the flaming tree!!!!!!!!!!
I have visited the tree morning, noon and night since and it's still hanging in there - even with these gales blowing!!!
With all the rain I doubt the electronics will be still fit - but, and this is where you come in, I would still like to retrieve the plane.
Any ideas how I can get the damned thing down???

Well, a shotgun is what springs most immediately to mind - but I'm sure others have more creative answers. Chop down the tree, maybe? Find a suitable small child and bribe it with sweets to climb the tree and get the plane down?

I have, tonight, strapped together 2 garden canes - I have a 10 foot length of dado rail, a 6 foot length of dado rail, another cane and a fishing net with bamboo cane attached.
They are all in the car to be assembled tomorrow lunchtime under the tree - I reckon that should make about 30 foot?
The tree is over a well worn path used by dog walkers - knowing my luck I will slip and fall into something disgusting!!

Look on it as a message,
if it gets bust the money, you make from the big case, will pay for a new one
if you loose, you,ll be so broke, a chopper up a tree will be the least of your worries
