R/C Helicopter Help!
Hi all,
I recently recieved a two channel radio controlled helicopter for christmas. this is a great toy but does not offer much control, I am very interested in all things radio controlled and used to race a car (HPI RS4 Pro 3 with carbon chasis and many alloy bits) at the local club (I still have this if anyone is interested!?). I would like to upgrade to a cheap 4ch chopper with more control. I don't really have any idea what is good or bad but i have been looking at the E-SKY Lama V3 and the E-Sky Robinsons 22 I think that these are both basicly the same as alll parts are listed for both models. Ie. part no. 123 for lama v3 and robinsons 22. also i think they are the same because you can buy the robinsons 22 'body shell' for the lama. i prefer the look of the robinsons as it looks more like a real heli, rather than the framework of the lama. What I would like to know is, are they the same, are they any good and is the robinsons one worth the extra £20. if they are both just as good as each other, I would probbably get the Robinsons one. all information is greatley recieved and any recomendations are welcome too.
The budget is £100 for all bits, plus have enough money for extra rotors, and be able to replac the first load of parts broken. Eg, £60 for lama, £10 for battery, £10 for alloy swash plate, £10 for alloy inner shaft, £10 for rotors. but I don't really know what breaks and doesent.
Thanks,
Scott

The lama and robins are very easy to fly.
If your up for more of a challenge, buy the Esky Honeybee, 4ch fixed pitch.
There's some good deals on ebay, where I got mine, complete with extra blades etc.

I would recommend a Blade CX2
Midland Helicopters Ltd HeliKits_Electric
nice and stable to fly inside or outside on a calm day.
There's a few videos on you tube
