I will be putting a tv on the wall soon and wondering how and where to hide the wiring. I will be hooking it up to a Sky+ box and a dvd/surround sound system that will both be situated 3m away.
The main thing is to neatly conceal the wiring.
Pictures would also be nice.

I did mine over 3 years ago, before there was many guides and did it the only way i knew how:
ripped all the plasterboard down, fed all the cables through the wall, made all the fixings, then re-plastered.
Build an AV cabinet in the wall and put glass doors on it. So there's no units, or anything. Gained plenty of space and little figures cannot disturb.
Easy enough even for an amatuer to do.

There is some trunking you can buy, name escapes me now.
Its expensive stuff, but it fits along the top of skirting boards and looks like part of the skirting wood so you can't notice it at all. Think they sell it at Screwfix, but search on avforums for trunking and you should find it.
