Hi Sal, sorry to hear it, where abouts do you live?

I do wonder if it is the wrong sort of rain (you know the sort that does not stay in the resovoirs) and we will still have hosepipe bans this summer

Tam, it has a pump built into the floor which copes well. The water is coming up through the floor tiles, making it's way across the floor and into the pump chamber. It's because the water table is so high.

Fortunately the water is filtered through the soil under the house so it's pretty clean by the time it comes up through the floor

We just pile everything up high and retreat upstairs to the lounge

We're in North Yorks Paul, it's very wet here at the moment.

That's not so bad at least you have a pump to get rid of it

Yep The house backs on to a small beck so the potential for flooding is always there. This is the 10th time in 10 months

This is the beck, the little wall to the bottom right is built around my back door to stop the flood water getting in. The kitchen sits at the same level as the beck normally. At the moment the kitchen is well below the level of the beck.

That's not so good, is there anything you can do to stop it flooding? The only thing I've had flood is my garage and that was bad enough, that was due to freak torrential rain though.

Been dry as a bone here in Manchester, inside the house anyway.

Fookin weather, would be ace if it was cold as well as as all this precipitation, there would be 8ft of Snow by now !

It's been dry here today too! The kitchen is dry again, for now! Also, I've washed my van and the ST, got some polish on it too!
