Default bloody cooker hood

replacing my zanussi cooker hood as its sctratched.

I have taken out the 2 screws (holing it to the wall) and taken out the fan motor, but it won't bloody budge (apart from 6 tiles which are now loose )

How the hell do you get em off, does the top or bottom come off first??

it's like the one pictured below.....

There should be a handfull of grub screws holding the top shroud in place, prob three where it meets the hood and a could up the side to brackets on the wall, remove these and you can remove the top half. There will then be 3/4 in the back of the main hood that are fixed into the wall, pull those out and the main hood will then come down.

Turn off the power first and watch your fingers on the sharp metal edges inside.

POC - installed his one a few weeks back, bitch of a job

If it's anything like mine...

The top should/cowl should lift up and disengage/fall-off.

The main body is probably held on by a number of screws. The top ones being keyhole jobs. i.e. You lift it up then forwards to remove.
