This was discussed on a skydiving forum I visit, seems he pulled the main canopy cutaway instead of the rip cord.
Then, he steered his reserve canopy (which has steering toggles just like the main canopy) into some power lines.
Basically all his fault, and in the video he seems to not have any clue it was his fault.
He needs to stick to something like golf.

Yes you can on modern ones, and the rig he was using was certainly modern enough.
Even if there was a problem with the steering toggles, you could steer the canopy a bit by tugging on the risers instead.
I suspect he just froze and couldn't remember anything he'd been taught.
