Is how the headline is worded.
However before the human rights bunch jump on this one........
he was found inside his house AFTER the tasering, dead with self inflicted injuries.
So the story goes.

lol yeah I heard that bit too. Not saying they did anything wrong. Just thought a topic with a name that would get the human rights activists salivating was called for

Why not just crack criminals/nutters/knife wielding types over the head with their truncheons??..... using all that electricity in a taser can't be good for global warming!

However im inclined to agree. Maybe the crim should receive the charge with harming the enviroment, by forcing taser usage.

The original report I heard on the Radio was that the Pollys entered the house and found the Man on the floor injured and bleeding with the knife, which he threatened the cops with and told them to back off. They then shot him with the Taser. He collapsed on the knife.
I must question why anyone would deliberatly electrocute an injured and bleeding man, who was probably not capable of getting up.
Please note I am only reporting what I heard, just after it happened.

Probably not capable is hugely different to incapacitated unable to move.
He could have been on drugs and so hyped up with adrenilin that the knife wound did not incapacitiate him. OK he fell on the knife, who knew exactlly how bad his injuries were. Some mpeople have incredible strength and ability when in this sort of situation.
Why should the police endanger themselves for this POS - better to make sure he is incapacitated before moving to so they can asess and treat him.
I would rather he died than he took a cop or someone else's life - tough but fair and right IMHO.

Also the quote of
He was then shot with the police Taser gun.
"The man went into the house where he inflicted a more serious injury on himself," said Bedfordshire Police.
