Another one here that enjoys a bit of JMJ. Takes a nutbar to come up with a laser harp

Just checked iTunes to find I've got Oxygene and Images on there, which I think will get a play in a moment or two.

Excellent, played it twice today, but I must admit I only own Van Gelis albums, which are very similar.

Glad there are a couple of people who like him too.

Saw him live in Wembley, and WOW, what a day!

Destination Docklands was massive !! And impressive.

However the best footage I have ever seen was Rendevouz Houston! Highways ground to a halt, and massive crowds.

Andy, there are some wierd old tunes, but some very energy filled ones too
Have liked him for years.

The laser harp is pure genius! Love watching that played!

I remember buying the album at Fleet market as a kid, must have been 30 odd years ago, **** thats a long time ago!

I bought all of his stuff up until Aero good if you're into your SACD 5.1, he did a lot of great stuff and some substandard stuff in his time ,there is also a 2nd Oxygene album parts 7-13 which wasn't as good, that came out about 10 years ago now...

According to google/wiki, "On September 6, 1997, Jarre played in Moscow to celebrate the 850th anniversary of the city. The Moscow State University was used as the backdrop for a spectacular display of image projections, skytrackers and fireworks, with an audience of 3.5 million. This was Jarre's fourth record and entry into the Guinness record book for the largest free concert audience ever. The concert was also the same day that the Princess Diana funeral took place. Jarre spoke of his friendship with her and requested a moment of silence and then dedicated a song in her memory called "Souvenirs" (aka "Souvenir of China")." Not sure I remember that bit. TBH I only remember running through police barriers just before they closed them. 3.5m, I thought there were quite a few people!!! The backdrop of the "stalinist wedding cake" university was cool. There are various vids on google/youtube (search for jarre moscow") but I just watched one, it was crap quality.

Some of the stuff was a little hot and cold I have to say. Got to be in the mood for some of it. But some is madly relaxing, some you can almost hear the sentiment in the music.

Im sure that one of the Challenger crew played Sax at the Houston concert before the accident. Might have my dates mixed up there.

lol fair play mate, I know what you mean.
His music has always been sorta got to be in the mood for it music.

Even when I was having a moment of loving it, there were always times you had to skip forward.

Ditto, however I don't think my missus likes it, as soon as I put it on she switched the telly on and started blasting out the Eastenders omnibus. I'm going away next week so I'll rip it onto the laptop and listen to it then instead

I looked into going. It was very pricey, think it was something like £60 for a very restricted view and that was ringing up on the day they went on sale.
