Default That Milton Keynes...

Well............ what can I say.
Just got back from a night out with a mate in MK, what a kerfuffle!
For starters, the roads..... jesus, that Portway is a right old mess, trenches dug into it, unfinished.
As for the people that use them. Its just full of chavs in "modded" (badly at that) cars, racing about all over the place with no regard for the highway code.

Onto the entertainment, blimey. £7.50 for a "premier" cinema seat with extra leg room. Thought I was going on a flight when they sold it like that.
We pay over the odds and the useless staff with no communications skills let anyone sit there, so another waste of money.

On the way home I stopped off for fuel. Not only was I reduced to fake BP Ultimate, (97 RON) but it was 113per litre!! And people say London is expensive!

Pick'n'mix....... what a rip off. My local Woolworths is SO much cheaper.

Once seated I noticed that not only was the cinema flat so you had to look at the backs of loads of heads, but the screen appeared no bigger than watching a DVD at home on my TV.. Talk about the small screen experience.

Cant say I was impressed. Not like that where I come from!

These are accurate accounts of tonights events, however reported whilst tongue in cheek.
Amazing how a bit of a spin on a night out can make somewhere sound shocking.

lol cheers, I aim to please and be accurate
On the up side I got to see a good mate, so that kind of makes up for it.

However unlike some people, as little as it impressed me, I will return, and will not condemn the place just yet.

Cost me £15 for the night out !! Never spending that much there again.

Also worked out that the prices for stuff in the cinema is more expensive than London. A Ticket and a nacho/drink combo would almost buy you a ticket in the Gallery in London. Real seats, free food/drinks and no pikeys climbing all over the seats

Orange Wednesdays so we both go in for under a fiver, just after lunch so's the brats are still (mostly) in their prisons and the prats are (mostly) still w*rking and we often have the place to ourselves. Butterkist microwave popcorn prepared just before we leave, working out at 40p each instead of £3.85. Used to make a day of it in the Frankie & Bennies all-u-can-eat buffet when that was on too. Movie, popcorn and a (large) meal for under £10 each

Never been to MK, don't think I'll bother

You know what, I have 4 contracts with Orange, and go to the cinema lots, but have NEVER done Orange Wednesdays lol. I really should!

Sounds like you have a good routine there mate

As for MK.......
Another thought... when I drive in the evening in London its a nice straight run.
Even with NO traffic on the roads in MK its speed up-slow down - speed up ever 1/4 mile. How far exactly CAN you go in MK before you get to the next roundabout.

I only realised last night that when I turn off the main road into my friends residential area in MK, I still have to go round another 3 RA's to get to his house..... 2 of which are completely pointless.
I think they are just a competition to get as MANY in as you can.

Got knows what sort of wear and tear they cause on the cars lol

If there was ever encouragement to watch pirate DVD's at home, I think this has added to that desire

Should have saved the petrol and of course the wear on the car, and stayed in London.
Might go to the Gallery today to restore my faith in REAL cinema

I haven't been yet, there's always a queue for tickets. A chap I used to work with works in projection there sometimes in the evenings. Apparently, it's a very civilised night out.

The last time I went to a multiplex (for 'Kill Bill Vol II') there was a fight! I hate the smell of those places, and the people on their mobiles etc.
