aka Alien Versus Preditor Reqiuem

rubbish.

No story line, predictable, an excuse for a killing spree, and 3 lines of the whole thing stick in my mind.

1/ "im going in the tank"
2/ "the government would not lie to us"
3/ "have you guys been smoking weed"

Other than that............... no much to say really.

I really enjoyed it.

But then I went expecting nothung more than a gore fest. And wasn't disappointed

Two chicks walked out after the hospital scene. Not sure whether it was the gore or the film itself. But I laffed

I liked the Predalien.

Agreed though with these two critters they could have been a bit more creative.

I did like the tank bit though...........................

lol I guess I was just in the mood with something with a bit of a story.

Worst part is the whole thing is set at night, so working out what the hell is going on is an effort too.

I thought I saw a hybrid in the mix lol, but so dark it was hard to tell.

Oh I suppose another funny line was "we are 10 mins out"

Best line in the film was, 'I didn't know which swimsuit to wear' Glad she got killed though, along with all the other nauseating American teen pillocks. Hated the build up where the development of the conflict was building but interspersed with vapid character development of characters who shouldn't be in an Alien/Predator movie. I mean...

Alien....Hard as nails Ripley with limited support
Aliens....Hard as nails Marines, and Ripley
Alien 3....Hard as nails convicts, and Ripley
Alien Res....Hard as nails criminals, and Ripley
Predator....Hard as nails Arnie and his hard as nails Special Force
Predator 2....Bumbling Danny Glover and some hard agency types
AVP....A load of company execs, some eco turds and a couple of bodyguards
AVP-R....Teenagers throwing each others keys down drains and a supposed girl soldier returning from Iraq who looks like she makes nice gingerbread.

Some of the fight scenes were OK, but a lot of dark, close, fast action to mask the poor effects. If Predator was a 10/10, as was Alien and Aliens, Alien 3 an 8/10, Pred2 a 7/10 and Alien Res a 5/10, I give this a 3/10.

on the last avp, in the end scene, the dead pred body gets carried onto the ship by a few (6 or so) preds.

but on the start of this one there is only 2 and the dead pred.

and why on why did they only send 1 pred cleaner to tidy up?

Or the Predator was sitting on his planned all alone like Will Smith in I am Legend lol

Aaaah how could I forget the swimsuit line. THe MUST have sexy scene. So the film DID have a highlight, I apologise

It was never going to be an Oscar contender was it, I didn't expect a lot so as Scooby Roo also said I wasn't disappointed.

Couldn't quite see the point of the Ripley/Newt similarity/homage as it just didn't work.
