I had a similar experience this morning. Going down a country road, fairly straight. I see this couple walking their dog. So carried on regardless. They saw me coming, just as I was approaching them, they walk across road. I had to brake, they probably did it on purpose.

The thing is, not to rise to this. You honked your horn to sound your presence, nothing more. Repercussions will not happen, just let them get on with it. Children are like that.

If thats all that happened, i dont see it as that much of a big deal. They'll get over it. Although, it sounds like this might be just one of a bunch of things you're not happy about, hence the cctv statement cos you wouldnt wanna put cctv up just cos someone rode his bike in front of you.

What else has been getting your back up? Apart from the litter?

This really annoys me. Years ago when I had my supra a little **** was walking in the middle of the road. I beeped but he just glanced back and carried on regardless!
So I got out, grabbed him by his hood, swung him round and let him go onto a nearby front lawn! I then followed with a bit of verbal before getting on my way.

hey
well apart from the last 5-10years of litter which is annying, when i was young someone kept putting ciggys on my dads car, also couple months ago we had a garden statue nicked which ended up next door. And my front screen was cracked once , Serously we live in a nice place like 2 roads from steven g, and theres no reason for anyone to come down are road only if you live there so it must be them. Looking on ebay cctv is only £30 now.

Wouldnt have thought you'd get much security for £30. What kind of system is it?

If you live in a nice area, then surely the children will have been properly educated, therefore won`t damage your car. But don`t take it for granted nowadays

If you have a garage, use it for your own sanity.

This wasnt a big deal... If it was you would have done more than beep your horn when it happened.
What would you say to a parent of these kids?
Seriously, move on... Don't worry about it...

I do see the point to your reply Andy. If they do have wonga, they should properly educate their children IMO.

If you have time a good course of action here would be to find a safe place to turn round and come back nice and slowly till you see them. When you get pretty close behind them and they've clocked you but turned back round again rev the car really hard with the clutch in and watch the f***ers jump into a ditch to avoid death. Then crawl past at 10mph and give them a friendly wave.

It's 2008, it's the way kids are, it's not worth losing sleep over.

Post again in a couple of years when they're rioting and killing each other and using your car for a shooting practice target.

If some dozy **** walks out in front of my car - they'd get hit.
I see it as my social duty to remove their spanner genes from the pool.

AND I'd sue for the damage to my car - like that bloke did recently as I read on BBC website.

I find clipping them with the wing mirrors get a desired effect. No damage to car as they retract inwards, but you can see the reaction in the rear view

Yeah, accelerating at them is always good for lulz, just make sure you can still stop (or swerve) in time, if need be. It's better if it's not in your own street though.

Just driving around them calmly without any change in speed is also good. Remember that avoiding a collision can be about more than just braking.

You’re worrying about nothing, as already said, just kids being kids.

Besides, from what you have said with regards to going round to see their parents, I take it you know where they live too?? If anything was to happen then you know where they live?

I had a similar thing happen one night, driving home about 10pm, three kids (about 11 or 12ish) on bikes in the road, heard me coming so spread all the way across the road weaving about thinking they were cool blocking the road. I didn't bother slowing down, they soon moved then I could see in my mirror they started giving me the w4nker signs etc so I stopped the car, by the time I got out of my car they shat themselves and peddled their little bikes as fast as they could in the other direction.

Suprisingl you do, 30led camcorda for out side, 10m lead and a dvr chip to go into your pc. and that all set me back £30.
Dummy camdoras cost more now a days.

Sometimes it's what it takes I'm afraid Les. Some have no respect and every now and then should be brought back in line!
