I'm off to Vegas shortly and I want to share the experience with anyone happy to take part.

Just for you guys I'm gonna take a $100 note to the Bellagio Casino on our arrival and punt it on whatever you guys decide.

I'll poll a few ideas but feel free to suggest your own

I'll circle back with a 360 feedback on the results

Bet half your pot on evens until you've doubled your starting amount. Always worked for me.

why the belagio ?? you will have to be carefull in there a $100 bet will be on a table hid out of the way as most have a higher limit (cards that is ) the tables in the belagio are just as annoying as any other casino due to annoying pyschodelic carpets and really loud bandits. Also if your gonna play texas holdem its not on the tables its a seperate part and its privates groups with a proper pot so be prepared to loose lots unless your good . But really I would bet it all on black

I never went in the bellagio so cant comment on the table limits but $100 is a minimum bet on the lower tables at the Venetian id stick your $100 on odds

Off strip bets pay better but I guess you know that already.

We are staying at the Bellagio hence the bet - but Jeezus H Corbett - $100 minimum is a bit rich - might stick to the slots !!!!!

The belagio is a nice hotel but its more down to clientel lots of silly americans !!! I spent some nights drinking at the bar in there If I went to vegas again I would stay in cesars palace, its right next to the belagio but its half the price and its right up there quality wise the two top hotels on the strip !!

Reality

First time you're waiting for the wife to get ready in the morning - get down to the casino you're satying at and put your $100 in the slots.

Should last you the 2 hours you'll need for the wife to get ready

IIRC some of the lesser casinos on the strip have $1 minimum bet, but those tables are few and far between

I managed about 5 hours on Blackjack @ $1 a bet using my last $20 the night before coming home, eventually came off the table $100 up and a lot drunker than when I started as whilst your playing beer is free, but dont forget to tip the waitress

i had a nice little win in the mandalay bay where we stayed

its easy to lose track of the time in those places though as there is no natural light visible to see when it gets light or dark.

the drinks are free as said as long as you tip the waitresses too.

its a great place to go even if you dont gamble, the penthouse suites are amazing too

Poker if youre any good. Never actually played it in a casino, sort of scared of looking like an idiot at the table even though I play a table of 8 at least once a week and have done for the last 18 months.

Try all of them and don't forget to take full advantage of the cheap high quality meals in the casinos. Should earn you the $100 back

Took that Grand back to the room and stuck all bar $50 in the safe.

Went down to the Craps tables ($10 Minimum) and converted that into $1300.
