Coppers you got to love 'em
Once could be a joke, twice is just taking the ****.

Whilst partially on the subject whats the legalities of using a radio whilst in a car, occasionally you see coppers using their radios whilst driving. I'm guessing this isn't covered the same as mobile phones are.

LMAO at the picture. I can see why he did it - he is obviously on the same wave length as many of the motoring Joe Public with conceren to these alledged "Safety Cameras".
Before passing judgement, I'd like to see the road the camera is situated on - what are the chances its a dead straight dual carriageway with no entrances/exits?

Thanks for that, just seems a little odd, after all the lobbying to remove distractions whilst driving.

Yes, but I'd question whether:
1) removing your hands from the wheel at 70 in a 40 zone is the best form of social protest
2) The intelligence of the officer in question: what on earth did he think was going to happen for such a blatant **** take!
Nice to see an officer with a sense of humour, but this was neither the time nor the place.

Ahh, I see the old faithful green cross code has failed to succeed where cameras can; by jumping into the road to carry them away from impeeding danger
All whilst there are adverts on the telly saying that if you hit kids at 30mph there is 80% chance they'll live (with a shattered pelvis, broken legs, brain injuries and severe internal bleeding, and if they do live, living thereafter with the metal capacity of a cabbage and the mobility of paraplegic).
But seeing the camera is set at 40mph instead of 30, that kind of defeats the point somewhat
Forgive my sarcasm. I just feel whilst we have a smug patrol officer in the Telford area carrying on his usual duties, despite his 86mph in a 30 limit and 160mph top speed antics during non-emergency patrols. We have one dangerous copper still on the road, and another off the road. Hardly a balanced policy.

The law is bollocks!
The government know there are too many people on the roads and will do anything to get them off it!
If it was so dangerous to have a conversation with a piece of equipment whislt driving, all coppers and taxi drivers should have special training or not be allowed to do so!
Goverment are hypocitical *******s, and if a new law on driving is brought in, you can almost guarantee the mp's who voted for it are the ones who will break it then get caught and end up in the sun!
