Car preparation no-no's
Made me think as we have picked my wifes new car up and they had slathered the steering wheel and some other plastic areas in some acrid smelling shiny silicone spray, got most of it off with a tissue. Whats wrong with a damp cloth as that dries and doesnt make the steering wheel non-stick.
2/ Tyre wall black, now I dont mind that tyre foam that makes them look newer, i.e. a bit blacker but the stuff the dealers use makes the tyres look wet and shiny, similar to the dash board stuff. Or even worse some kind of black polish, like shoe polish that paints them black.
3/ That engine Laquer, I dont think they have done this to ours but it makes an engine look daft, they dont need to be shiny, then over time it goes all crackly and attracts muck.
4/ Not valeting but dealers selling second hand that rather than replace the number plates with their own think that covering the original dealer logo with their own looks acceptable, it doesnt, it looks ****.
5/ Gunk, clean the engine with Gunk and you never ever get rid of the smell, the human equivalent is TCP, I swear the smell of that stuff stays with you forever, saying that Gunk doesnt smell that bad.
